Mahakaushal Express Accident: 52 injured as six bogies of derail near Uttar Pradesh's Kulpahar
About 52 people were injured when eight coaches of the Jabalpur-Nizamuddin Mahakaushal Express (12189) derailed in the early hours of Thursday near Kulpahad station in Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh. North Central Railway general manager MC Chauhan, Mahoba district magistrate along with SSP visited the site after the incident that took place around 2.30am. An Accident Relief Train (ART) rushed to the site, and injured passengers were admitted to nearest hospitals in Mahoba for medical treatment. UP health minister Siddharth Nath Singh asked doctors at nearby hospitals to provide prompt treatment to the injured. The government announced a financial aid of Rs 50,000 each for the seriously injured and Rs 25,000 to a person with minor injury.
